So what character is everyone enjoying now?
I personally don't like mortal kombat, but I was playing it with a friend today, and kitana and smoke are just... AWESOME!

I make up kombos after 2 seconds of looking at his strategy guide... yes I went there...

Cyrax, Kung Lao, Scorpion, Cyber Sub-Zero, Raiden, Sub-Zero, and Kitana.

I'm really enjoying the game and pretty much the whole cast.

Are you just practicing with other KTB members or online with xbox?
Idk how psn players are practicing since psn has been down for a week now.

I might enter the tournament Friday for mortal kombat... but I don't have the game, and my friends have it for ps, but i can't go online, and they in the same boat. No online, no one to play competitively.

Practicing online? Nah, I don't do that. I prefer to practice with real people without lag and with more skill. Or I hit training mode. If you want to play someone, hit up the SRK thread to see who's all doing what and get some games in. Why SRK? Because those guys only post and sometimes read what's posted on there.

Is that supposed to make me confident?
I'm terrible at mortal kombat, well, fighting games in general... but I can't stand losing, and if this is what people play, I want to be the best at it, no matter what.

I can just watch a game and learn everything there is to know about you.
The time it takes for me to get better is insane, and I take advantage of that.

I started playing halo 2 and after a month of playing it, I was beating everything in sight with or without the use of glitches. Although I could quad shot in that game flawlessly on live targets.
A friend of mine who went semi-pro never faced me 1v1 because he knew that id shoot twice and kill him without fail.

You, my friend, have potential... and a lot to learn. It is our job to help you become a smarter and stronger player. Watching is good, but don't underestimate someone because you're watching them play... "a certain play style". Me.. I don't play the same each time, so if you expect me to rush down, and then don't, it'll throw you off. I'm not consistent when it comes to 'strategy'. An example is how I play Sim in SSFIV. I believe though, that goes for most Sim players... they all play differently and I have never seen ANY Sims that play similar at any tourney I've been to.

Read David Sirlin's book, 'Play to Win'. You should find excerpts on his site, http://sirlin.net/

I'm smart enough to not expect the same thing each time. I meant I learn their train of thought for offense strats as well as defensive strats, but I get your point.
Pros on the MLG Halo circuit say its 10% luck, 20% skill, 70% mental. So I practice the mental aspect of games to better myself.

But it all doesn't matter till something is one the line, cause anything can happen then.

You can't really compare FPS to Fighters... it's been discussed and proven, but lets not get into that argument as I will not entertain it anymore.
